Staging bin Laden's "death"

I think that for obvious reasons, the Pakis were only made aware of the operation afterwards.

Osama bin Laden wasn't sheltered by us, says Pakistan - BS

Pakistan has questions to answer over Bin Laden, says Cameron

Muslim country and Muslim terrorist leader, what else should we expect?

So once they'd killed the combatants they phoned the local Pakistani authorities and said this is the US, we just killed Osama up the road, please come fetch the stragglers ?

Remember the whole thing took 40 minutes.

Sure the US of A is not always open or even truthful. But compared to clot(h)-heads who run most of the Middle East they're as open as Wendy's on the Strip. Which is why those poor benighted people are so prone to conspiracy theories - their governments and mullahs and mujahideen are the embodiment of conspiracy and deceit.

It is not only Muslims that questions the validity (and motivation) of the events as reported by the US government.

I bet... that someone is going to link this to David Ike`s lizard people and the moon landings. I was ganna also put "and they`ll blame western media"... but I dont think its fair to bet on something thats already been said in this thread.

I bet nobody takes this viewpoint: that it doesn't matter if they actually got him or not.

Bin Laden has been public enemry number one right since 9/11. He was the guy everyone was told the US was going to take on in payback for the attacks. He was the figurehead, the representative of everything evil about countries which had lots of oil. He was the guy the US had to get.

And they got nowhere, and carried on getting nowhere. But still, he and his al-Qaeda group got trotted out as the bad guys, the guys the US are fighting to protect us from, the guys responsible for the ridiculous security theatre in every airport, the guys who ultimately were the cause of all the misery and death in Afghanistan and Iraq. And nothing was heard from Osama bin Laden at all.

He praised the WTC attacks. He then released a few scratchy tapes which said nothing in specific to Al Jazeera up until about 2004. He was said to be living in a super James Bond villian-style underground cave fortress. It all got a bit silly. And then for years, nothing was heard about him at all.

So there was no closure.

Now, say what you like about Obama, he's a canny politician. (He'd have to be to become a POTUS.) He knew he had to put on a bit of a show. He knew he had to close out the bin Laden story if he wanted any hope of pulling out of Afghanistan, closing Gitmo, or bringing an end to the absolutely ridiculous "War on Terror" that the world (in a state of fear) was lapping up. Obama knew that one way or the other, he had to give the story an ending. And that's exactly what we got.

It doesn't matter whether the got bin Laden or not. If bin Laden had any real influence on the world, he would be out there influencing things. But he doesn't - indeed, it's doubtful that he ever had - so whether he's alive or not is absolutely moot. More importantly, whether or not he's dead, he's powerless.

One can only wonder if maybe old Donald Trump got played even more than we realise here. With his bleats for the original birth certificate being comprehensively handed their hat, conspiracy theorists like the Birther crowd suddenly found themselves with a lot less credibility than normal. This was the moment to 'kill' bin Laden: and anyone who came out and doubted he was dead ('Deathers', if you like) would just end up being lumped in with the conspiracy theorists. Finally, it was really, really safe to say that bin Laden was dead.

And now we can finally move on. We've made it into post-'War on Terror' times. The fear of global terrorism is no longer a vote-puller. The US can't use it to justify wars in resource-rich countries any more. They're going to get the chance to withdraw, lick their wounds, and look after themselves for a while without having to worry about being the planet's policemen. Barring a 9/11 Part 2 (9/12?), this is what is going to happen.

Obama has finished the story of bin Laden that was begun under Clinton and capitalised on under Bush. Whether bin Laden was actually killed on Sunday night is almost irrelevant. The important thing is that that story is over, and now it's time to start a new one.

We can only hope it'll be a better story this time.

Osama is definitely dead.If its proven he is alive then people will start believing the 9/11 conspiracy theories.Obama can ill afford a scandal of this magnitude.
The question still remains, did he really die this weekend?
For such a big operation much more footage and pics will have to be made available for the public.

If he is dead - then he died a while back (probably from natural causes); and staging and assasination and saying we killed him is much better for american morale - then saying we found his body and he died from leucemia

However the other option is that they in fact captured him (previously or during the staged raid); but announced that he's in fact killed. Why kill him??? I doesnt make sense. Capturing and milking him for intel on terrorist plots sounds much more logical. These days with torturing techniques and what have you they could solicit just about any info from anyone. Of course this has to be done on the down low.

So I believe this: if he's dead (he died awhile back) OR they captured him awhile back and he died in custody (torture, naturally, or execution) after they extracted their intel. OR he was captured alive and they will be milking him for intel and then execute him

Lizard people is a much simpler explanation... lets stick with that. Stop complicating the matter with facts.

You understand there were over 30 family members of his present in that house? How and why would the US stage his death with all his family present?

Does not compute

Edit:

True. Need to have a dig around for my old tin hat I made in college. Things just got serious!

Eh. As long as the lizard people pay more attention to stable fiscal policies and social services than stupid pointless bloody wars, I don't really mind.

If word leaks that he was indeed captured,it would cause an uproar second to none, not only from Muslims but from the American public as well.Obama would be seen as toying with 9/11 wounds and his career and credibility would be over for the rest of his life.
Make no mistake OBL is dead and he probably retired after 9/11 after achieving his goals.

The why to your question - asked and answered (see above and read again)
The how to your question - How the - should I know. These guys had plenty practise on a replica of the compound. Surely not all 30 family members were present in one little room with bin laden?

Agree most likely that he died back then. But do you really think he died over the weekend during a raid? An assasination raid makes less sense than a secretly capture raid, surely?

No no, you're not getting what I'm saying, in fact a lot of people are missing the crucial crux of the matter.

You said if he is dead then he died a while back, in fact many people have claimed that he died years ago.

Why then raid a house full of his closest relatives, claim to have killed him, only for his entire family to claim that he has been dead for years and he doesn't even live there? Surely they would know if they actually lived with him?

Remember how after 9/11, the Bin Laden family were evacuated by the US Government? What if he died of natural causes, and the Bin Ladens allowed the US to bury him at sea (honourably of course) while claiming to have killed him. Both parties are satisfied as long as the Bin Ladens agree to shut up about it.

Before I get any "but how could they keep it secret", the answer is they dont need to. Who would you believe - the New York Times showing he is dead or a paper claiming to have an interview with an anonymous BL claiming he was not assassinated but died of natural causes. Even if the truth is "out there", getting it accepted by the people would be impossible.

Thus should end the debate on whether Osama was still alive in 2011.

The only question that should remain is, was he buried at sea.

If he was dead then why make up a story like this.

So 5 people were shot to death, including his teenage son, in order to satisfy both parties? Wow.

Maybe the little twit wanted to open his big mouth and tell the world about it?

Wonders what the story will be if/when the US produce the photo of OBL with an extra hole in his skull.

He was deep frozen after dying a few years ago then thawed out, put on a helicopter to Pakistan and shot in the head ?
