Stalker Clear Sky

/me is just scanning the news on it ............ blerry ton load of 'advice' out there eh.
 
Ugh, don't fret about it, whenever something is released you will have some unhappy users. Even my lovely Thinkpad laptop which generally has the best customer reviews in the world for realiability had some *****ty forum posts / complaints about it.. don't worry.
 
any other time in gaming history I wouldn't have been worrying so much but now we have this huge slew of titles that are all amazing (hopefully anyway) coming out all at the same time .......... have to be shrewd cash wise ;):D
 
holly bananas i got it working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after 8 hours of scanning forums with no help this finally worked. and thanks for nobody giving me a answer on the hdmi part (cause i was like htf can my graphics card have hdmi but ja)

just right clicked the speaker on task bar and selected playback devices. then disabled both digital devices (HDMI) game works perfect whooooohoooooo

n1hilist i dont get this. i just played the game and past the swamps. but then i landed up at the same place the first stalker started ? why is this happening :/

btw running game on maximum with everything flat out and 1920x1200 directx 10 lightning on and it runs lekke :D have x2 4850's and its looking awesome. just had some weird lines on screen when it started raining thats about it

Er, your first missions ends with an Emission from the Zone and you wake up again in your bed, it's part of the story line.

Unless you're talking about something else?
 
S@#$ thing about that patch is i lost all my saves :/ they in game but you cant launch them sux.

havent played past that stage im talking about. when you play the first one you start at that under ground tunnel thing talking with that old guy. after playing clear sky i ended up at that same place with that same guy doing the same mission again....
 
Tunnel?

You start off at the Clear Sky base, you talk to the main oke and you then get your gear, you go to the swamps and you have to help the first Outpost, then the emission occurs and you wake up again at the camp and they explain the story about the Zone and the emissions and what it does to your body etc;

Yeah, I forgot to mention the patch breaks your savegames ;)

Ohwell, there were a few things I did badly, so I'm just restarting - just hope they don't fscking release another patch 2 months down the line or something.
 
you not reading this correct :D when you play shadow of a "whatever" (first stalker that came out) you talk with a old guy in a basement underground and you then go from there above ground to attack a place with some doods. this same level/stage is in clear sky... i am talking when you finish the swamps you travel to another place and this happens there...

my game runs s@#$ with the patch btw going to uninstall cause now my system struggles... ran smooth without the patch

you perhaps know where the save games are located at ?
 
don't forget that Clear Sky is set in exactly the same place, just a few years before. All the areas are the same apart from the Swamp and the Red Forest AFAIK ......
 
GasCanZa, you need to word your posts better, you're a bit ambiguous mate.

It follows on with the same story and much of the old maps are there with new things.

1.5.0.4 is running fine for me here.

I'm running it at max details except the AA slider I've turned almost all the way down, and anisotropic is about 25% othewise everything is max.
 
Let us know how Clear Sky compares to Shadow of Whatever. I'm playing the first one now. Kinda enjoying it.
 
clear sky plays way better then shadow of whatever. AI is more advance and it don’t feel like you fighting useless AI. Graphics makes up for allot and having that much eye candy in a game is just a bonus. world detail is really out of this world cant waite for farcry 2 and fallout 3. ijust bought this for killing time till those to get released and so far the game kicks ass.
 
scooby_doo is this when your first load.. black screen and freeze ? try right clicking on your speaker icon in the task manager and find something called digital output devices (hdmi) and disable both if your sound card has this on. worked for me....

n1hilist can you play multilayer mine just hangs when i join a server ?

no its just the stalker start up screen when it checks for your dvd. Doesn't get to the black screen.
