Standard Bank rolling out Apple Pay support

Joh, I thought everyone had it by now :unsure:
 
Not a minute too soon. For the record, they also added Fitbit Pay, for what it is worth.
 
Yup, was notified by the Standard Bank app this morning that I could add my card to Apple Pay. Added to both iPhone and Apple watch but have yet to use it (isolating!).
 
It is probably one of the features on my iPhone/watch that I have been using the most since FNB (finally) rolled it out.

Also the ability to have my wife's ABSA card loaded right next to my FNB card, and to give her a "copy" of my FNB card without having to request more cards is pretty great.

(We trust one another!)

100% agree. Such a useful feature.
Have you seen the transaction history list that shows you exactly where you shopped. You can turn of the location info if you want to but this makes it so much easier to see if that was actually my purchase as the names of the vendors are not always that easy to figure out.

I leave my house without my wallet often now. Even more when I am not driving.

I've seen the history in the wallet app itself, but how far back does it go? Doesn't look very far?

It would be very useful if I could go back a couple of months ago as it is even harder then to figure out who/what a specific transaction was for.

Has anyone got their virtual cards to work with Apple Pay on standard bank ? … it’s easy peasy with RMB/ FNB
