Standard Bank was slow to respond to complaints on Twitter that it's systems are down today.
When they did, they told customers that problems were being experienced with online and app banking, but users quickly responded that they are also unable to make card purchases or draw cash at ATMs.
At this time (11h44 Sunday) the system remains down and no ETR has been given.
Edit: These outages seem to be commonplace, even with the new players (Capitec had its share of outages too, not sure about the others). Perhaps the answer is to spread your money around the banks, and have a spare card or two for events like this.
