Star Citizen

So what is the DL size of the current client? Because I'm really worried about that alleged 100GB+ game size they're talking about. That's like a week or more on a 2mb line if you're downloading almost constantly. :wtf:

The current client is about a 25GB download if you grab it fresh. From one version to the next may be a bit less than that, but expect 20+ most of the time. Not at the 100GB mark as yet, thankfully...

I like that they're doing these free ships every few weeks, Super Hornet this week and will probably go on sale again afterwards. After flying it I'm really tempted, it's insanely cool for combat - I demolished some guys at Kareah the other day leaving there with hardly a scratch.

Here is another 'new' early access space shooter,

About This Game

EVERSPACE™ is an action-focused single-player space shooter combining roguelike elements with top-notch visuals and a captivating non-linear story. It takes you on a challenging journey through an ever-changing, yet beautifully crafted universe full of surprises. Your skills, experience and talent for improvisation will be tested continuously while learning about your own existence through encounters with interesting characters, each having their own part of the puzzle to tell. Each run will be exciting as you will have to face completely new situations keeping each part of the game long-lasting and generating lots of individual, meaningful moments to experience. However, no matter how skilled a pilot you are, death is inevitable, but only the beginning of a much larger journey.

- Fight! Dash into exciting dogfights and experience furious space combat using a wide range of weaponry and devices.
- Craft! Use collected or mined resources to craft equipment and modifications for a much needed advantage or repair your ship's systems. Your choice.
- Loot! Collect blueprints for crafting and go on the hunt for exotic weaponry and equipment. You never know what drops next.
- Explore! Travel through huge procedurally generated levels with lots of hidden treasure and danger. A game of risk and reward awaits.
- Die! Giving in to the seductive embrace of death does not mean the end. Spend collected credits to unlock new perks and keep your blueprints to boost your chances for the next run.

Anything to keep me busy whilst Star Citizen takes shape, it is only that the above game is a bit too arcady.

Almost CitzenCon time boys!

Really look forward to the demos.

Another cool moment from the WHP Wednesday live stream. There were a ton of us and we split into two teams, had some super hectic dog fighting (from 57:40).

Star Citizen's 'Squadron 42' Single Player Campaign Delayed Indefinitely

Squadron 42, the single player campaign for upcoming space MMO Star Citizen, has been delayed indefinitely.

Chris Roberts and Cloud Imperium Games made the delay announcement during a livestream, stating that while a lot of the basics were complete, a great deal more had to be done. This includes in-progress development on things like pathfinding logic, enhanced flight AI, and the mission integration system.

The campaign’s 28 missions are simply not done yet, according to Roberts, with some still at the grey-box level. The developer has been notoriously quiet about a release date—up until now, while very little from the campaign had been shown, CIG had still not pushed back the 2016 release window.

2017 is now the target, but I won’t be holding my breath until a great deal more of Squadron 42 is on the table.

On the other hand, much of what was shown at CitizenCon looked very impressive, especially the giant sand worm (around the 1:54:00 mark in the below video.)

Oh well, I expected this so it does not bother me, but there will be people demanding to have the game returned.

Anyway, here is the presentation,

I follow that DanGheesling dude from WHP on youtube and was quite surprised to be in the same server as him and catnuts on Sunday. Wonder how the matchmaking works, usually my pings to the states suck compared to the UK..

Ideal specs: Absolute beast, dont hold back.

Will get you by specs: I5 and up, 3.5ghz and up.. at least 16gb ram, and nothing less than a 970.

You can get away with less but not at the moment, they need to optimize the hell out of the engine still.

Runs slow on my R280x cpu at 4ghz 16gb ram .Really Feels like the game engine is lacking . As I have not seen another game grind my system to a halt Battlefield 1 running at high on 1080p .Lots of screen tearing almost on star citizen if that makes sense

Ok, then I wont bother. Thanks
