I suck at Arena Commander, mostly due to the fact that my Aurora is a k@k fighter and takes forever to kill anything. I end up earning little bits then spend it all :D I have at least got some missiles on there now and upgraded guns.
 
REC only works for 7x24 hour periods. You can then either renew the rental or let it lapse. You don't lose it when you exit but it's not a permanent purchase either.

The mustang has more value than the Aurora, so if you want to upgrade first sell the Aurora package and get the mustang one. The Mustang one is worth a couple of $ more than the Aurora.

Still can't fit more than one person in it though.
 
At this point I would recommend anyone that has an MR to switch to the LN, unless cargo is your main focus, in which case the Clipper might be better. You get two extra guns with no drawback that I can see.

The Mustangs,

- Alpha: (starter ship)
- Beta: Explorer
- Gamma: Racer
- Delta: Fighter
- Omega/R9: Racer (Gamma equivalent)

The above can be considered to do racing, light and paced exploring or small item smuggling.

The Aurora is much more multi-purpose.

I think he was referring purely to monetary value.
 
I also have a LN. But I saved between $5 to $10 when I upgraded from the Mustang Alpha. More value when you upgrade the ship.
 
Patch R dropped during the night. Furthest we've been down the alphabet by far.

So to give you an idea of what PTU is like: Windows 10's data usage monitor tells me that CIG Patcher.exe has burned through 380GB in the past 30 days. It barely seems possible...

380GB???? LOL wow that is insane. But I suppose if you are a tester you can surely know you will download a lot.
 
Yes, which is why I don't normally do this :-) The rabbit hole just goes deeper and deeper...
 
Played a couple of races last night came waaaaay last but did manage to score some rec points :). Good training though.
