The pirates at the comm array stations destroys me in seconds now. They are like human players now with a $10000 joystick setup that has been playing flight sims for 20 years straight lol.

Weird, I took out a few last night with no issues.
OK, I HAVE been playing space sims for 20 years, but I don't have a stick...![]()
That's a good attitude to have! Rage-quitters could learn from you.
min lol.Boost does not work for me on the controller. Or maybe I am expecting something else when it boosts. The button works though and all. Oh and also a nice pic there with the commands, love it.
Boost doesn't increase your top speed. What it does is increase thruster power so you accelerate faster.
Classic example: You are flying at top speed in your Aurora and suddenly an asteroid jumps in front of you. You can try to turn around, but you have too much momentum to quickly reverse course just with regular thruster power. Tragedy ensues, unless....
This is where boost comes in. It will apply mega thrust in whatever direction you are pointed so that you can change direction quicker. If you turn your nose away from the rock and hit boost, it should stop your current direction of travel very quickly, and get you moving along a new vector.
Thank you very interesting something to try in those races.Boost doesn't increase your top speed. What it does is increase thruster power so you accelerate faster.

Judge the difference for yourself.
I dunno, but I find it amazing how you chaps are so amp'd about playing a game that is not a game, and seems to keep on removing your previous progress, and which continuously wants more money from you. A "game" you just get snatches of.
Ok, I just skimmed through the previous posts, but this is the feel I get. And what's with all the huge downloads? Surely it should just be updates, as opposed to seemingly reloading the entire game?
Seems we're making progress. It was a ponzi scheme a few pages ago. I wrote a pretty comprehensive response to your questions on page 5.
Either way, you don't have to understand why we find this game exciting. I've gotten more than my money's worth out of it already, despite how incomplete it is.
Well, that's you. I just think you are hamsters running in a very expensive hamster wheel. Happy to be proven wrong.
But, just a question - how much have you already spent on this "game"?
Do you get advantages when the full game will be available?
Proof has nothing to do with it, I reckon you've made up your mind either way.
I bought a $45 package which includes the full single and mutliplayer game. I also bought and gifted a second package for a friend. Haven't felt the need to buy anything else, because you can earn it all ingame.
Early backers got the game at a cheaper price than the current $60, plus some cosmetic stuff as a thank you. No real advantage per se, besides the opportunity to play an active part in the development of the game, which I think is pretty cool. If that makes me a hamster, well bring on the wheel.
