Yeah Xenothreat has been fun, most times it has been working, occasionally the third phase doesn't trigger but you can just hop servers if needed. I'm not sure if they are extending it, they often do extend the events to make sure all timezones get a chance. Also give it a run in a light fighter dogfighting between the capital ships, its awesome. The performance tanks quite a bit though!

I want to say I got the Anvil Arrow for free, but it's not that I think. Some triangular-shaped fighter, when I melted my old starter, paid in and got the Freelancer Maxx package. But gonna hop in a bit later to see what's cooking, I want to really start trading, but so scared other players are gonna catch me if I spend all my loot on cargo lol.

Uhm, no, it is not seen as a promise, but an expectation. Placing empathise on an expectation is perceived as a promise because of affirmation.

As I always say, don't do roadmap, as you may risk setting an unrealistic expectation, and CIG does empathise these points in their blogs which I read, so this,

you can only blame yourself, some of those watchers may be investors.

Yeah you get a free Anvil Arrow with Freelancer purchases, found this out when my buddy upgraded his Aurora. Quite nice to have that and do bounty missions alongside cargo hauling with the freelancer. I recommend you help out at xenothreat, will make a tidy sum of in-game currency.

Also, actually calling your convention Citizen Con is a bit on the nose if you ask me.

CitizenCon is my actually favourite thing about the game right now. It's like a mini GDC with panels showing cool videogame tech stuff. Can just appreciate the work the developers are doing there.
 
Well at least we can all know where a big chunk of the crowdfunded budget went to.. thats a damn stellar hollywood cast for the cutscenes.
 
Free fly event coming this Friday to test out the ships in game.
