For those in the know, do they still include Squadron 42 in the game packages or do you now need to purchase it separately?

Mmm, I don't very much like that they did it for the bomb racks and flight blades, - by all means bundle it together with ships @ a discount maybe - but at least put them up in game as well, even if you jack the prices up there. They’re patching in June to make the blades available with in game currency.

Still sucks that anything is available on the pledge store imo cause people can still pay to win or grind for months to get to the same level as a dude who just spent thousands of real money.
Eve and elite has the same crap so it’s nothing new to space games.

I’m pretty new to this game. Making money in game doing cargo hauls. I got a rok so long but no ship to carry it myself and rely on friends when we go mining.
Any advice for a n00b? I kinda want to get into the combat side eventually but not against frekin veteran players. Npc’s for me please cause I still suck.
You can rent a majority of the ships to do decent bounty missions with, start with an arrow or something, outfitting it with lasers rather than ballistics and go hunting, NPC bounties start very easy and makes a decent amount of money to keep renting the ships
People love regurgitating drama they see online without actually looking any further.Yoh… The negativity.
We’re having fun at least. They really need to make killing yourself a bit more punishing. 3 hour comedic rescue mission only to get shot down myself and have 2 of us now stuck near the same prison. Then have a 3rd (more experienced) friend save us. On the way to safety the original friend in distress just offs himself cause it’s quicker than the quantum jump and restores all his health.
Also the 3rd time I nearly die cause I step outside without a helmet on.

Look at the date on the original announcement video.
Yeah there doesn't seem to be a push for Squadron 42 till Star Citizen is fully released. Which might be never.

Star Citizen fans sigh deeply, rub their foreheads as developer casts doubt on Squadron 42's 2026 release: 'I don't know if we're going to make it'
Jared Huckaby clarified that he didn't mean to suggest that Squadron 42 will be delayed out of 2026, he just literally doesn't know what the future holds for any of us.
...
The grim tidings were delivered by content director Jared Huckaby during a recent Star Citizen Live showcase (via MassivelyOP), in which he said "there will be no Squadron 42 presence at CitizenCon Direct," the two-hour online showcase taking place on October 11.
"The team is heads down," Huckaby said. "We drew a line in the sand when we said 2026. I don't know if we're going to make it, I just know that we're going to do every single thing possible to make it. And part of that is not taking time for the distraction of CitizenCon."
Huckaby said developers are "on track" and that "there's no mystery [or] anything we're hiding," but you can probably guess where the attention was immediately focused. And fair enough: "I don't know if we're going to make it" is generally not the sort of thing you say when you're confident you're going to make it. In fact, I can't speak for anyone else but for me it is exactly the sort of thing I say when I'm pretty damn sure I'm not going to make it and I want everyone in earshot to know that I tried real hard and I made no promises.
Development continues tracking towards our intended release in 2026, and we hope you've been enjoying this year's new direction for the Squadron 42 Newsletter as it continues on its new quarterly schedule. We’ll reveal more when we get closer to the game's launch, and until then we hope you'll pardon our heads down approach as we work to achieve that milestone.
Didn't see this coming /s![]()

A sign that the postponement loop is set to loop again. Not showing it at CitizenCon would mean that a postponement might be on the table.

Mixed messaging. Still, there will be no more Squadron 42 presence during 2025. Unless there is a surprise.
I think it is going to be pushed to 2027, and I won't be surprised that GTA VI will be the reason argued.
Those with old bundles do have access to SQ42, but not so much with the new bundles.
good news, they are in the process of updating your Aurora to current game standards.Coming up on the 10 year anniversary of my purchase![]()
good news, they are in the process of updating your Aurora to current game standards.
Can't remember the exact date they announced it,
but I'm sure SQ42 has been feature complete for at least 1-2 years now.
but as we know its always 2 years away from being released.
If they feel its not ready then they won't release it, still making record sales in Star Citizen to
fund SQ42.
There was also an article a few weeks ago where they said Star Citizen 1.0 will release in
2027/2028, and everyone knows that's not going to happen either.
