I was thinking of going that rental online route but if you can lend/send me some that would be awesome!

OK, will have to start copying to DVD and will let you know when ready to send some. You can either send DVDs back when finished or send me blank DVDs.

Yes Mr rose tinted glasses.. you used an opinion piece, whereas I based the fact that cellular phones were being developed before Star Trek was developed on actual research being done by Bell Labs etc etc...

I send you 5 shovels full of cell phone websites (via email) so take your “pick” So let us know which is your “Pick”. :D:D:D

Hahaha picking only on the cell phone and leaving all the other inventions outside shows that you still need to shovel a lot of rose tinted snow. Are you getting new darker glasses for Christmas? :D:D:D

I recommend that spooky watches each of the episodes in reverse order, i.e. starting with the last episode of the last season of each Star Trek series variant, all the way to first episode in each season, and then repeating the process with the previous season, I also recommend that he wears Borg gear when he is watching each episode.

 Okay.. I didnt catch that :D

Are you 2 years old or something?

You base your opinion on Martin Cooper saying Star Trek inspired him AFTER the fact, whereas I base my opinion on patents that were around BEFORE Star Trek aired, and the fact that a carphone system was commercially available in Sweden in the 1920's.

Please grow up or go back and finish your homework before your teacher gets upset.

Actually wireless communication being the real first wireless telecommunication message was done long before by a certain M. Marconi.

No electricity means no Cell phones!
600BC: Static electricity
Thales, a Greek, found that when amber was rubbed with silk it attracted feathers and other light objects. He had discovered static electricity. The Greek word for amber is ëelectron', from which we get ëelectricity' and ëelectronics'

This reminds me of the debate of whom invented Television. At least 2 candidates. Did you know?

Whom was the first to fly in an airplane? At least 3 candidates excluding the Montgolfier brothers and Cayley's first glider that carried a boy. Or must we go even further back to Leonardo da Vinci ? You now about his helicopter?

Those that know, do. Those that understand, teach.
Aristotle 384 BC – 322 BC

What is your answer to all the OTHER INVENTIONS MENTIONED.

My how did you guess my age so accurately?? :D

I watched the Blu Ray version of the new Star Trek movie, stuff me!
visuals were good but what stood out the was the sound!
When the Enterprise arrives from warp to find their buddies blown to bits and the ship scrapes the other destroyed one and knocks the tiles off, Yoyoyoyoy!

My first Blu Ray movie - going back to DVD is going to be hard :(

Yes, a hard drive is definitely easier. But be sure to wrap it up good. If it is under 1 kg then it should go in an overnight bag = R48.

PM me for the address.

I don't have the Animated ones... can get them, but as it stands, I'm battling to watch the Original series... Finished Season 1, still have Seasons 2 and 3 to bore through!

Funny this thread was started, I periodically watch the episodes over from scratch, and just started TNG about a week ago... now Mid Season 2
