Star wars battlefront 2 questions

Hi guys

Does anyone know if South Africa will be getting a server for it? Did battlefront 1 get one or was it playable Europe servers?

I plan on getting this game regardless but it would be nice to know these details. I never did get or play the the previous one however so I don't know these things.

As for BF1, you can select a preferred matchmaking region but the only available options are Australia, Asia, Europe, South America, US East, US West or Automatic.

I really wanted to play the game, but don't want to waste my money if the game is gonna die. And yes, I know the game deserve to die because of EA and all that ****. But im a sucker for graphics and good sound and I like the Star Wars universe.. I just wanted to play the game so badly

I hope they can sort out the crap it has now.

Haven't had issues finding games at all on pc.

maybe a bit early but how is the game looking on PC now after the patch yesterday 21 march in which they removed the lootbox progression etc? Anyone playing or planning on playing on SA servers?

I don't think games really get populated on SA servers any more, it looks like every time I play I end up on euro servers. Just don't think there are enough local players although in the settings it does still show a SA ping server so maybe if there are enough players in the region it may still start games on a local one.

The updated progression system is a really good change, I just wish EA's execs would have realised this from the beginning.

The EA vault thing is free until March 27th, I have been trying to download this game since Tues but the Origin thing keeps freezing, even on a 50mbit line. (Newly installed win10 machine) - Im about to give up and already cancelled my service but have 7 days free trial left

yeah, Im downloading BF2 now and will use the 7 day trial and then maybe buy it on monday before the special ends - IF the SA servers are actually being populated.

Maybe try running origin in compatibility mode - mine won't work unless I do that on my w10 pc.

Been playing a bit of Galactic assault and must say it's a lot of fun. Dice nailed the progression patch - it's really good now.

Game is more active than ever these days. They just did a big re-release today (https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/starwars/battlefront/star-wars-battlefront-2/news/celebration-edition-rise-of-skywalker-roadmap-update) which contains all the cosmetics unlocked as a bundle.

Only problem is they removed the SA servers long ago so you have to play on the German servers so your ping will be like between 155ms and 200ms depending on your connection.
