Hey fellow SC2 fans,

Im going away for the weekend and am going to have a few hours to kill while im away, so I was hoping id be able to play some SC2 on my laptop. Anyone know of a way to backup my game/character/progress from my desktop, install SC2 on my laptop and then carry on from where I left off?

Or does all that info get stored on Battle.net so all I have to do is log in on my laptop and carry on?

Will there be any problems installing SC2 on my laptop if i've already got it on my desktop. Any possible licensing issue?

thanks

I googled this and it seems as if the saves are on the Battle.net cloud system. You should be able to just log in on your laptop, and your saves should be there.

I play Starcraft on multiple machines. As long as you do not use "offline mode", everything is saved on Battle.net. Just copy your client folder onto the laptop, connect to the Internet and play.

Ok cool, thanks. I was just a bit worried about a licensing issue by installing SC2 on a 2nd machine. What's in the client folder that needs to be copied? And where is it located?

By default, I think it's should be c:\program files\starcraft ii or c:\program files (x86)\starcraft ii. I believe the copy protection is on the battle.net account. As long as you only log in on one machine at a time, you should be fine.
