I personally believe they are going to ask something like R1000 for this bloody package, in that case, they can goto hell... I'm personally willing to spend R600 MAX!

Note how they say "over 10 years in the making" :erm: Takes you 10 years to make a game that looks alot like RA3 ??

Thoughts? Comments?
 
Yes, it takes them 10 years to make a game that will be 10 times better than the dribble that was RA3 and for the next 10 years will be successful and remain incredibly popular.

One cannot compare the ruined Command & Conquer franchise to the StarCraft franchise - It'd be like comparing an explosion made out of boobs to, say, a dirty homeless person's shoe or something.

I would be willing to pay R 550 to R 650 for this, if it got shipped here.

@ voiDude - agreed the StarCraft franchise has a air of sheer class about it. I won't be flippant about how I have felt about the long wait for "Wings of Liberty", but the moment of truth is almost here and from all I have experienced of the game to date, it will have been worth the wait... or so I thinks ;)

Anyway, I am on the verge of counting down the minutes :D
 
Damnit I don't have money for this, but I want it sooo bad.

Anyone notice this: On the BTS DVD "All 13+ minutes of pre-rendered cinematics..." Only 13-14 minutes of cinematics? Sounds a bit low.
 
anything less than R700 and I'll take it.
God I am excited for this game, I can't get enough of the beta, and I cant wait for the single player :-)
 
Well it's $100 in the states, i think. I'm sure lotsa people are gonna shell out for it no matter the price
 
I just got a "friendly" update from BT Games..... SC2 Collector's Edition price has now gone up to R705, that's a R60 jump!

R700 is still a good price for what you get. Most triple A console games go for that.
 
It's to late for me to pull out now, I have already pre-ordered it, and the money has been taken off.
I'll just pay the difference when I collect.
Regardless, I'm still super stoked to get this game.

Hold it right there! If you have already paid for in via pre-order they cannot charge you extra now. They have to honor the original price.

If they won't honour the original price they quoted you... request an immediate refund on your CC and go elsewhere.

As long as you ppl let them get away with it, they'll keep doing it.
 
Can't wait for this game. But I'm getting the normal version, R 700 for the Collector's Edition is way too much..
 
Changed my order to the collectors yesterday :) but looking at the notification on my BT games quote it says payment or rather release date not confirmed for the collectors. Will be a bummer if it gets released later than the standard one :(
I'll probably pay when it's closer to the time so I can keep an eye on price fluctuations... if there will indeed be any.
