i'm just thinking that by the time the 3rd one comes out, the hype has died down, along with the graphics (to some extent) and you will already know what units there are/etc and have lanned them all - so no surprizes.....

I gotta agree here. I see no point in buying an RTS if the "campaigns" only get released in one year intervals. I buy games primarily for the single-player experience. DoTA FTL!

What does this mean for multiplayer? Nothing
Multiplayer will be unaffected by these releases, all three will include each race for multiplayer matches. We've also learned that "Battle.net 2.0" will be released alongside the Terran version. We assume this will address latency issues, other features, and tweaks to make Battle.net even better.

In other words in Multiplayer on the first disk we get you can still play multiplayer with any of the Races.

While it sucks, there are pros:

- Really good and long quality Single player experiences.
- They can keep enhancing the mulitplayer with every release - over and above what a simple patch could do.
- Fan reaction. They can see what fans do and dont like and correct or change it with each stand-alone released.

Have Blizzard ever dissapointed? No, everthing they have ever released has been brilliant. They are the only company that doesn't just spew stuff out. They take time to make it properly. Why do you think Koreans still play starcraft 1?

They have a good idea to release 3 parts, it is something different.

I would pay for the game 3 times as i know blizzard will make it work the cash.

Blizzard have a good record for games they release, I don't think they've ever released a 'bad' game, so SC2 will probably be very good in every way.

the only complaint I have is that 1year is too much of a gap between titles,I think 6months would be more reasonable

It worked for Valve with Half Life 2 Episode 1 and 2. You will lose some quality over the time period but it should be worth it.

Also blizzard never give a release date ahead of time so saying they can't complete anything on time is a bit inaccurate.

I think that this is the better way to do things.... at the end of the day it will increase the longgevity of the game as new units will be added with each eppisode. So multiplayer will get more and more interesting with each ugrade.

SC2 might just be the best game ever... I don't spend a lot of money on games but I think I will for this.
