Starcratf 2 + cutscenes

I played the single player of Starcraft 2 for the first time from start to finish last week. I must say that the quality of the cutscenes and prerendered videos were the best I've ever seen in a game. Blizzard always outdoes themselves when it comes to stuff like this. Really good stuff, especially the cutscene where Kerrigan gets captured by the Zerg

after setting the game to ultra settings i got choppy fps during cutscenes ... i went ... its time to upgrade if a blizz game cant play properly ^^

Blizzard always has the best cutscenes... I remember being wowed by the cutscenes in warcraft 3.

It was a really engaging campaign I thought. Some missions weren't as great as others, but with the rewards and brutal option etc. there is quite a bit of playtime in there... Compared to a COD style which you can complete in several hours. The customisation means you can play a few times too and go different technology routes. Not sure how many people would do this though.

I still watch all the D2 Vids in order every now and then - Had a 90+ of each HC char on official during 1.12 (HC Hell Baal Runs with a Sorc and 800 ping - Mana steal -> Save+Quit - I mastered it!!!)

I'm now using the instant win cheat to go through the whole story again and taking a couple of different paths = new cutscenes Good stuff.

Kewl. I was also in the whole HC thing
Killed baal on hell 1.12 but never past 86 somewhere around there
Had a drood - sorcy and trapsin with all HC hell baal kills -
Only the trapsin with 1.12 thou
They better have hc with d3 - no pots - globes - scripted encounters - its like a match made in heaven - erk rather hell

Since then I never died again in d2
Although gloams almost got me a few times
and corpse explosion but ye no other gaming genre or game has given me such a thrill

Due to the easy possibility of TPPK with Druids (Nado = RIP HC Char), druids were never allowed in games (I followed a few well-known TPPK'ers with a low lvl char to watch the lols )

For those of you who dont know - A single Gloam shot depletes a Sorc's mana to 0, which prevents teleporting. Lightning-Enchanted enhances damage significantly. Multi-Shot makes it shoot 3x -> 5x the amount - 1 hit KO Sorc!

I currently have 2010 (I think just over now) achievement points (Had 2010 at the end of last year - Was epic ), and that Kerrigan-Ghost being left behind cutscene was fantastic!

Slowed down on MP a bit (Trying to do proper stalker blinks whilst micro'ing your zealots with 800 ping is rather impossible...), but still play the odd SP stage (Still trying to complete all on Brutal - It's hard )

But ye with sc2 – I was watching a reply with my buddy last night
And the most epic thing happened in that game- I think it may have been nerfed thou
Its called an archon toilet …. Dunno how well know it is

Basically zerg vs toss
Both unit capped with pretty high tier units
Toss player had a mothership, archons and high templars
and they were both about to clash in a battle of epicness
The toss player threw down the vortex/black hole thing from his mothership which sucked in the zergs broodlords
the zerg player replied by running his whole army into the vortex/blackhole?
We were like hey thats pretty clever , like don’t let you army be spit up by the hole
But then the toss ran his army into the hole/vortex – and we were like wtf
Well what happened next sent my buddy and me roaring with freaking excitement

As both armies popped out of the vortex/back hole the toss player threw down some Psionic storms on top of the bunched up zerg
That coupled with the archon AOE ( we didn’t know they had this)
Basically resulted in a 200 capped zerg arm destroyed in 2 seconds

The zerg was like

And the toss was like

It took us afew minutes to compose ourselves after that

As for blizzard cinematics

In SC1 they had this (Mass-pwn lings) - In SC2 they have this, just to a slightly lesser effect.

All I know is Diablo III is around the corner. I've warned those nearest and dearest to me, and I've bought a new, smaller wallet to accommodate for its impending flux in weight.

I have also warned those around me, and will happily inform you that there beta is starting on the 1st of July

If I get accepted into the beta, I will subsequently ask / bribe a friend to download the beta client for me if it is over 1GB (Curse you Vodacom!), and might never be seen again (Offline at least)...

Except for those rare daily occurrences when I actually have to leave my sanctuary to attend my place of work, so that I may purchase sustenance and not join the legions of the undead...

I am also wondering if XFire has a maximum "Hours Played" for a game, as I fear I might cause an integer overflow in that department (Had Aion for about 2 months, already at 300+ hours - Diablo3 will QUICKLY surpass this...)

Seeing as how I STILL played D2 on official battle.net (Granted, Aion has pwned most of my time), I feel I will be playing D3 non-stop for the years to come (Until they release Diablo 4: Virtual Reality Edition, at which point I will cease to move for the remainder of my life)...

I've done that... was a last resort thing, worked but i still died... i think they nerfed it in the last patch, I'm sure I read they gave the units invulnerability for a second when they come out giving them a chance to spread out. Check out HD Starcraft on youtube, good entertainment.

Most I've done in 1 "sitting" was NWN 2 when I first bought it (When it first came out) - Played for 60 hours straight (Yes - No sleep for almost 3 days) stopping only for food, and bathroom breaks. Was during holidays.

I subsequently slept for about 22 hours, woke up, and finished it (Took another day and a half) ;p

Finished all the side quests I could (This took most of the time) - Was a great game, and, to date, the longest a single game has ever taken me to finish single-player for.

Was a great week

So yea - 18 hours and death? Pssht - n00b
