Hi Guys,
I have a strange problem. My starsat stopped working around Dec 27th. First few channels were blocked and I have followed instructions provided by starsat on their FAQ page. Which did not help. After a day or two there is no signal and I tried all the options but nothing worked. After couple of unanswered calls to starsat call centre I stopped using it. Yesterday I decided to sortout the issue and I wanted to make sure if it is dish or decoder problem. I have tried with spare decoder and still no signal.
My neighbor also have starsat and I borrowed his decoder to double check before getting installer out. His starsat was working fine. After checking with his decoder in my house still no signal.
I have decided to call the installer and returned the decoder to neighbor. After connecting the decoder at his house he also has same problem as mine.

I dont understand what is the problem.

Is it possible that my TV/ Dish connection/ power connection broke his decoder as well?

Any ideas about what should be my next step?

To little info to make a reliable diagnosis, but sounds like alignment or LNB issues. Weird that the neighbour's stopped working...

You'll have to get an installer out.

Thanks. I was kind of decided that the problem is with alignment after the neighbours decoder did not work in my home. After its stopped working at neighbour's house which was working half an hour ago made me thinking.
Is it possible that a dish connection can break the decoder? There was no lightning or anything at that time.

The decoder supplies voltage to the LNB, not the other way around... So no, I don't think it could. Even if there was a short on the coax, it should not damage the decoder.

Can i get advice my starsat decorder green light is flassing and the tv shows no signal what can I do
