Starsat HD Decoder Resolution

Hi all.

My friend got himself a starsat HD decoder. Unfortunately his tv is only HD Ready (Can only display HD up to 720p)
On DSTV you can set the resolution to your screen, but we can't find such a setting on starsat. It's set to 1080i or your normal rca cables with 576p. Does anybody know of a way to change the decoder to display 720p?

If it is broadcast at 1080i, changing the setting on the decoder will only make the scaling happen on the decoder, instead of the screen. I would rather entrust that job to the screen.
 
Hi. I trully need help.

I just installed a hd pvr 2p and it keeps giving me error hdcp… I have specs for my lg 50" 3d TV which is compatible.

Did you buy this tv in south africa?
I noticed that your tv tuner is ntsc. We use pal in south africa. I know that it is only on the analog side and not through the hdmi connection, but isn't it checking or searching for a ntsc signal. Have you tried "auto" on your hdmi connections?
