Hi all,

I'm wanting to register a Close Corporation soon and start my own computer business here in East London. Selling hardware and repairing, and maybe service business computers (if I can find any).

I'm however not sure if this is going to be a waste of time? Can such a business still survive and provide income? I'm still a part-time student so every little bit of cash would really help... How could one make a success of such a business?

There are quite a few computer businesses here in EL, but only one here on my side of town...

Any comments would really be appreciated! :)

EDIT : Just to add, I have a Pinnacle Micro branch here in EL and also another place going by the name "IT Distributors". Any other suppliers you guys/gals can recommend, even if they not in EL? Thanks

Start with your business plan and go speak to an accountant, you clearly havn't seeing as you want to start a C.C.

You can hardly call it an industry anymore.Every prick who can slap some parts together has some sort of pc shop nowadays.

Well they are not all pricks though but yes every dick tom and harry who knows what a cpu is happens to work in the industry :D

Damn you 2000, it exploded 1999 when the world was told computers would struggle. The biggest scam ever :D.

Haha I remember this... "Shortage" of IT people... I guess everyone just stormed!
