Starting out with Sonoff

For those that run into the issue with Unifi and the DW-2-WIFI, you need to Globally enable 802.11b on Unifi to be able to connect it

Can the new sonoff zigbee bridge be used in home assistant without flashing the firmware?
my old xiaomi bridge can, very easily (
xiaomi_aqara:
discovery_retry: 5
gateways:
- key:)
but i can't tell if the sonoff can

Looks like you're in luck - install HACS then the Sonoff LAN integration:

in configuration.yaml:

sonoff:
username: your username here
password: your password here
reload: always

As an aside, the Sonoffs supporting DIY Mode 2 can be flashed with Tasmota without opening them up. Did 7 x Sonoff Minis this morning. What a relief.

Lol, it burns my ring doing that. I generally try and find something else on the site that might be interesting, else I look elsewhere. Stupid, I know. I'm weird that way

I feel you.

ok i ordered it and some cables.
I think it's the first time i place an order for something that delivery is more then the order :)

You are required by law to share your shopping cart with us.

this is the device and the jumper is set to 3x3 but now how do i connect the wire?must it go on top on the jumper?

also the wires seems to be too big to fit the holes in the sonoff bridge

or if i have the cable in it'll indicate 3v (and i can remove the jumper)?

whats the labels on the pins? can you show photo of that?

nevermind saw the photo on https://make.net.za/product/ch340g-usb-serial-converter-type-1/

Use a multimeter and record the voltage output on the 5v pin and ground and confirm it results in 3V reading. I suspect that is what you will have to do. The 3v3 and vcc pins linked probably converts the 5v to a 3v, but I personally would test it.

this is getting complicated....i dont have a multi meter :-(

well if you wait, I will let you know when I get mine, as this cheap one is a good reliable one, and I had some issues with my current one so ordered it anyways.

Or you can do what the guy above your last post did.

Can the sonoff zigbee bridge support aqara devices (without flashing)?
I was under the impression that yes...but i tried to add a motion sensor and the aqara cube and the bridge was unable to pick them up
