State capture inquiry begins

You are an astute observer of the human condition. An intellect for the ages.

Since you feel unable to accuse me of racism, why not try tribalism?
I can hardly match the genetic superiority of your kind sir. I didn't try hard enough so it is my fault indeed. I am in awe of Newton, Einstein and the likes.

It is just too simplistic to want to confine it to the Zulus, it is moslty people who never went far in school, it just happens that there are lots of them amongst the Zulus, they are after all more populous than all the other ethnic groups, but I know of other die hard Zuma supporters who aren't Zulus.

And it goes without saying that the corrupt would be very fond of him.

The way i see if there are two very different spheres with influence.. on the business end the corrupt may not have numbered as much as the public supporters but they were/are numerous and are highly educated too(i', not talking about the ministers). While Zulu public support, albeit very tribal (actually speak to Zulu people and you will quickly realize that the cultural hierarchy makes them susceptible.. they are a proud people.. but not easiy to admit how ****ed up they are) & benefit based than real support based on position/thought is numerous.. the reality is you can't be corrupt by yourself.

Failing to recognise that a corrupt leader is useless without a business party is like failing to understand basic maths. Zuma could have happily been president for 2 terms and we'd have little to no impact if businesses did not commit fraud with them.

I like comrade's tactic though. If he said "corrupt or blacks", he would be accused of racism. Now, he is pinpointing it to one language group. And now he thinks other language groups will love him. I applaud

Technically i see it as marginal veiled racism too. The kind of racism which is the worst..

.
What? You mean like when group of prominent business leaders formed a group to lobby against corruption? Or just the rank thieves like the Gupta's?

Well, I did try to help you along. But I can only take you so far. Does making unsubstantiated accusations of tribalism not give you the same kick as racism?

I simply asked for clarification on what another poster meant by "his kind" in reference to Zuma. Note that I used the word "or" rather than "and", which indicates that the two groups (the corrupt and Zulus) can be exclusive of each other.

Marginal veiled racism found in a four-word post sounds to me like the sort of thing a person finds when they wake up every morning looking for ways to be a victim of racism.

This stupid investigation they're calling for is just another diversion. As if the ANC have conducted a credible investigation in all of their lives
The ANC can investigate whatever they want, they can even invite the NPA in to do so, but should not be able to interrupt current proceedings...

Zuma appoints said 'spy 'to his cabinet 3 times, Ace wants an investigation....

Is it an investigation into why the former pres appoints spies ?

At this rate he probably doesn't remember appointing that spy...

So much of I don't know..

No wonder the country went backwards under his leadership, he can only remember events from his spy days. He has severe memory issues and theoretically should have been medically boarded for it.

I read water-boarded and I didn't feel bad. :eek::eek:

He is deliberately being obtuse knowing very well that nothing in this commission can be proved by evidence. I doubt if Guptas are coming back to support/contradict his statements.

Yeah, I am not getting this. I am sure most of us usually work at least 8+ hours and company's working estimate is 7 hours per person to include tea, lunch etc.

These guys are sitting from 10 to 4 and then 2 tea breaks and 1 hour lunch time making it less than 4.5 hours a day. This is getting ridiculous.
That's quite normal for government and SOEs.

MKMVA national council slams Zuma's 'irresponsible outbursts' at Zondo commission

The Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) national council has slammed former president Jacob Zuma's allegations against its national chairperson, Siphiwe Nyanda, and ex-combatant, Ngoako Ramatlhodi, calling Zuma a liar.

"We view [comrade] Zuma's allegations as irresponsible outbursts from a person who is obfuscating and ducking in attempts to avoid speaking the truth to assist the work of the commission," the statement said.

The MKMVA national council's statement is in sharp contrast to the support shown to Zuma at the state capture inquiry on Monday by some MKMVA representatives.

The council felt that Zuma's conduct "to make unsubstantiated allegations to besmirch comrades", instead of addressing issues before the commission is unfortunate.

"However, the conduct seemingly follow a particular behavioural pattern on his part, which is characterised by a worrying inclination to lie to save his own skin," the council said.

"This conduct has been gaining momentum as his trademark since he was initially released from the deputy presidency position of the country on the 14th June 2005."

Secretary-general Gregory Nthatisi said supporters were also finding it easy to bring the ANC's name in disrepute.

I would have thought that Zuma still exercised some favour amongst the 'veterans'... The grunts don't like Siphiwe Nyanda and Ngoako Ramatlhodi being ridiculed by Zuma for smoke and mirrors.

What the dickens. adjournment already? Are we tired today by listening to the tripe that zuma said?

There always existed pro and anti Zuma factions within the mkva. Kebby and Carl are with the former grouping. The more loudmouthed group are also Zuma allies, they got pampered during his tenure.

I don't think its allies as in supporters but rather alliances of mutual benefit. It's who greases your palm and they become yours because of the money paid, favour or job given, contract being overpriced or just corrupt. That is how hierarchies form. Overtime these hierarchies became so big and corrupt you can't do anything. Just look at the banking crash where the US government stepped in to save all those banks and the same greedy executives still got huge bonuses.

Carl is at the bottom of this hierarchy. He will suck the dick of whomever pays him.
Andile with no political influence would resort to cheap tricks like regurgitate his own feces to get on TV to payback his debt to the Zuma faction.
