Richard Hurst, a telecoms analyst at BMI-TechKnowledge, said the rationale behind Infraco was very noble and the government deserved some praise, but whether it would be the country's broadband panacea remained to be seen.
"Perhaps a more prudent use of the infrastructure may have been to include it in the Neotel licence as originally envisaged, and allow that company to drive low-cost broadband and to reduce the level of government involvement in the sector as a whole," he said.
In other words it is not just Naspers and the Vansies that are in a conspiracy to prevent Mbeki from giving black people bandwidth it is the telecoms analysts.
Electrons is like any other commodity say "chickens". Now imagine the ANC starts giving out free chickens the chicken farmers will be up in arms. The same with this entire cabal of telecoms lawyers, analysts,Vansies whatever. They are a bunch of dishonest liers. For them the only thing worse than too little bandwidth(people build their own exchanges) is to much bandwidth.
You must know your enemies and the powerful mindcontrol the exercise in convincing you not to obey Alec Erwin in building your own exchanges.
