When I heard about Telkrom planning to introduce static IP's I was thinking it was to good to be true. Their pricing will probably confirm my statement but it is probably better to be positive.
It's really going to be cool to have a static IP then i can finally host my own mail server locally. No more waiting for slow mail to download with a crappy slow port shaped connection. It's really ironic if I think about it. Currently I have a mail server in the US. I would like one locally to download mail faster. But the main problem is that I think that the ports for retrieving mail is shaped making it slow. So now getting a static IP will solve the problem that is caused by Telkom in the first place.
