Is anyone else having problems playing games like TF2 online?

I'm not capped and its impossible to play on SGS server...ping of 200+ and I just jump around every where...

Am in Joburg

Sorry, this post is useless, but, I'd just like to say, I hate steam, and.... I'm about to clean my room, just thought you should know that. o_O

well if it doesn't apply to you then don't read it ;)
I wanna know if it's a problem on my side or not so you're not helping very much...

I know, I'm not very good at helping other people o_O

*Edit* As you can clearly see X)

*Edit**Edit* How does it make you feel though?

I've avoided putting on "the orange box" on my pc because I hate steam so much... it sucks my BW... sorry s1ght, can't help you.

All S1ght needs to know is whether or not anyone else is having problems with the Steam server. If you have insight with sharing your problems with him then do so by posting constructive posts, not chirpy comments.

Fun fact: Iburst Sucks at games, ESPECIALLY first person shooters

Get ADSL

Well in the past I've had no problems playing CS source or TF2 with a ping of 80 so going to a ping of 200 and jumping around the screen is bad for me...

Such useful replies, if you read the iBurst forums you'd know that s1ght doesn't usually have problems playing on SGS, so he's wondering if other people are having the same problem either from iBurst or SGS's side.

I can't help either, but that's why I wouldn't post useless stuff about ADSL or complete rubbish about 200ms being great. :(

er..hardly anyone does that..:o

had this info been in his post he'd have received less useless replies.

eh?

Do you have the USB modem? For some reason Steam doesn't like the PPPoE connection it sets up, I've found the only way to get steam to work with a USB modem is to connect it to another PC and setup internet sharing. First person shooter are terrible on most wireless connection methods, although I did get better pings on WoW than my mates on ADSL, especially when I was soft-capped for some reason.

ya got the old white one (both usb and ethernet) but its connected to a router through the lan, had a lot of problems connecting it straight to my pc with usb and ethernet, the Ethernet randomly stops working and i have to restart pc and the usb had troubles connecting to steam
