Steam updates

I'm updating america's army 3, but can't seem to find the size of the patch on the net. Updating from 3.04 to 3.06. Is there any way to see the incoming update volumes? Does anyone perhaps know how big this update is? Don't wanna get myself capped too soon :erm:

Have you set your region to Africa? It tends to use the local server then.
IS hosted, IIRC. I stand under correction.

After searching around the net, I found out that the patch is 3gigs in size :O. Is that the patch size from release 3.0 or 3.06?

ROFL, no the patch is about 1.4GBs in size, you can always find the AA 3 updates on the SGS FTP over here: ftp://ftp.games.saix.net/americas_army/game/AA3/

Normally when a new update is released it takes about a day or two for them to upload it, but that way, at least you can use your local cap to dl it off their FTP

How do i apply those updates? Merge or?

You just copy it into your AA3 folder, if you are prompted to overwrite files, just say yes

Right, cheers mate. How many SA servers are there atm? Are there any?

Many of these "updates" appear just to be promos from Steam. Not much changes in the game itself.
