Steers vs Burger King

This
Although he means a good Steers Burger will trump McD and then BK.

I'd personally remove McD completely from the equation.

Why just yesterday, as I was finishing my delicious Whopper, I was trying to remember the last time I had Steers or McDs... I couldn't.

I like Macdonalds. Their patties are 100% SA beef. But they are not flame grilled. So I do rate BK and Steers higher.
Roccomamas is just too expensive.
Spurs Monday burger special is also a good deal.

Burger King any day, but you also need to find a 'good' branch. BK Cavendish = brilliant. Another BK used old oil, so its chips and onion rings tasted a bit funky.

Every single time I've ordered Steers in the last few years, the burger has looked nothing like the photographs (beyond the usual tolerances for burger advertising even) and only the chips have saved it.

From what I understand, garage branches don't cook their burgers from scratch unlike the proper bk stores. They are warmed up in the microwave.

The one on Republic in Randburg seems to cook them themselves - I haven't had a bad meal from there.

There is one specific Steers I go to because they're consistent and make the best bacon and cheese burger. There was one closer to me that I avoided as they were awful but they closed down which is good.

BK is good and at least their chips are edible unlike McDs.

Fresh McDs chips are awesome - once cold though, not so much.

For me they used to be. Something changed a while ago and now they taste like ass, even when fresh. Maybe it's region specific, I don't know but I tried a bunch of different branches around my area and have just completely stopped ordering chips there.

And geez the price of Steers chips has also gone through the roof. And I really hate it when I order a large chips and they are too bloody lazy to fill the container all the way to the top. When you compare what they then give you its almost the same size as a medium. And most of the time its just because they are too bloody lazy to prepare a new batch of chips. Giving small portions to all the customers save them the hassle of making new chips. I have noticed this at a few fish and chips joints too in the past.

I also don't think steers chips are freshly cut anymore, it tastes like they buy them pre-cut and frozen in bulk these days.
