A three-year-old toddler was raped and later murdered by her attacker on Saturday in the Ngoqokazi area near Amaoti, Inanda, north of Durban.

The child’s stepfather appeared in the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

He was charged with rape, murder and common assault.

Provincial police spokesman Captain Thulani Zwane, said the man allegedly raped the girl in front of other children – they reported the matter to the girl’s mother.

“The mother and her husband argued over the rape of the child and the husband allegedly assaulted the mother,” he said.

Zwane said it was alleged that the man then turned to the rape victim and held her by her legs before slamming her body on the ground.

The suspect assaulted the other children, accusing them of reporting him to the girl’s mother.”

The man was arrested. - Daily News

Wow!!! This is not human :wtf:

Is it just me or is the frequency of these violent and inhumane crimes escalating? Usually you'd hear about one or two a month but now it's basically weekly.. Or m I imagining this?

Humans don't do things like this to other human beings. Animals that pose a thread or attack humans are always hunted down euthanized...end of story.

But what's even more scary is the fact that animals like this have the right to vote.

There was another yesterday. Her one eye was taken out and she was probably left for dead and then somehow made it to help.

Story is here somewhere.

This goes far beyond apartheid, or the ANC's inaction, or whatever reasons anyone can come up with. A substantial portion of our population is simply fu*cked in the head, and nothing is being done to identify and institutionalise them. We're sharing the same public spaces, going to the same movies and restaurants, driving on the same roads etc. as a number of unidentified psychopaths. It's a scary thought.

Browse "Die son" or "The sun". These types of things things are hardly new in the townships. It's clear to me that anyone who does something like this must be mentally ill.

It's poverty, you should pity them.

Is this your interpretation of the social constructionist post modernist understanding of the cause of violent crime ? If it is it's a very simplistic and bizarre understanding and you haven't tried very hard to grasp something extremely simple: That people do not act in a vacuum as a blank canvas.

As my old dad used to say "you have two ears and one mouth and you'll do well to use them in proportion."

I don't know why people are surprised at this kind of behavior, TIA.

Its perfectly normal here.

It's just you. It's not really modern either.

Humans don't do things like this to other human beings.
On the contrary total brutality has been normal behaviour for humans for most of our history.

Death Penalty!
Fairy dust and some leprechaun's gold.

This is common in Antarctica?
