Steyn going to play overseas

So Kevin Peterson and Clive Rathbone was just some guys according to you ?

I watch the craven week every year, I love new talent I also love to see the best guys play in the Currie cup (Who doesn't) if they are called for Springbok rugby, it's an honor and yes I do support them. You on the other hand is saying, no let them go play abroad, lets all celebrate and watch sencond class home rugby tournaments.

As said in the other thread, we'll see who pays the salaries if no one goes to the stadiums ;)

Appart from Ellispark, that is just because of it's location. The only place that really looks after it's players and lets the best guys play all the time = Bulls.

Go see the attendance at Loftus next time there is a game there ;)

I DID NOT say SEND HIM AWAY! If he wants to though he should be free to move without it reflecting on the state of SA rugby. Hence my comparison to football... they move all the time!

You Signature polotics shines through like the sun on Venus. You bash everyone that has anything to say against your PDV. You chop and change your view like a chameleon, as it suits, like you say PDV did to get the Job.

BTW It does reflect on the state of rugby. Steyn is sidelined for POLOTICAL reasons.

Seriously, Steyn is a Rugby legend to be, his young and need to be nurished and groomed to be all he can be. If we lose one more Great sportsman because of politics there must be something wrong.

Same happened to:

Kevin Peterson
Clive Rathbone

we can not afford to lose Sporting greats because of the stupid mentality our coaches have. How can you try and justify that ?

Kevin did not feature in the provincial team....

Rathbone was ok at that stage but he is also not a "great" of world rugby.

Steyns performance has been bad this year, he just needs to go back to the CC and go find his form :)

Also Barritt has a UK passport so he can play for England pretty soon.... Steyn as far as I know does not have that luxury thus he will think twice before taking such a step.

It shouldn't be surprising, as our powers that be think they are bigger than the game.
