Stickers: Your feedback needed

Drop the italics in the logo - it looks terrible.
Like some wussy airways company.

Bold font as it was originally - no need to mess with something that's already there - the myadsl logo is perfect as is !

What is the message you're trying to get across?
*We* know what myadsl is all about -- but the (wo)man in the street:

1. Hasbn't got a clue about myadsl
2. Prob won't be able to read the domain name correctly

The sticker needs to be very simple, very easy to read and must be able to get its intended message across in a single glance.

(I'm assuming that the sticker is meant to be stuck on your vehicle???)
 
Out of the three examples, I also prefer 3, but totally agree with the others, please drop the service provider names.

Yea, I was just thinking of cutting out the center bit (the logo looks cool)
 
My 2 cents :-

As indicated before, I think it's a mistake to italisise the logo, it does end up looking like an airways logo with the cables extended, making a wing like design.
The existing logo is bolder.

Circle - is that really practical ?
I know it's a traditional sticker shape, but from a printing perspective it will probably be expensive and also to modify the design for flyers or posters becomes that much more difficult.

With a rectangle, you can easily take exactly the same design and use it for flyers and posters - especially if you get a good size ratio in terms of the various paper size options.

Also, you could take the black out of the design and use percentages of blue and end up with a one colour print job, this would cut printing costs further.

If you get the dimensions of the sticker right, you could get 12 up on a standard A4 for stickers.

It's really all about cost and practicality.

A rectangular layout is also good for bumper stickers.
 
Yeh a rectangle could be better, more space to play around with as well.. still sussing out my cabbie and deciding on a good place to stick it.. although with my lack of driving skills i may give the site a bad name :D

Would you guys prefer 'bumper stickers'? The only reason I have selected round ones were because they might be more useful (license holders). If you guys prefer rectangular ones it will be done :D I have no loyalty towards and shape or size and whatever kind and design most members prefer will be printed. We must then just ask Mad and/or other resident graphics whizzes to put together another design/s.

Please give your preference regarding the shape and size of the stickers.

My only problem with the license holder approach is they're only visible to passengers (and the ppl giving me parking tickets!) - my vote is therefore bumper-stickers.

Is there a decent master of the logo floating around which we can use if we wanted to try some ideas out? Preferably vector.
 
rpm - do you have any quotes on print costs ?

While that shouldn't be the main concern regarding design, the layout size and colours can sustantially cut costs, as can the size of the print run.

I'll see if I can get a basic idea of costs involved tommorrow at work - know a print rep whose been in the biz for many moons - he'll know the cost options.

If your getting 500 done (probably the minimum you'll get) then it's not such a big deal.

Also, you can make available the design in a high quality format - vector and tiff - so that members can download and print thier own stickers if they want.

Yeah - that would be nice - though for something like a bumper-sticker I'd prefer jpg rather than a tiff simply to conserve bandwidth - course best option would be pdf imo.
 
Vector would be the best - I'm sure MaD did that design in a Vector program ?
If not, it's easy to move it over and redraw in vector and then as you say, make it into a PDF.
 
/me don't like bumper stickers at all.
Alternative :
Inside of rear window for everyone to see (ala Baby on Board) Same "stickyness" as licence holders. Rectangle will be my preference
 
I don't put stickers on my car, but for myadsl I will make an exception. I would much prefer a rectangular shaped sticker. Not too big but big enough to read.
 
I could make a "rounded" square sticker - using CS2 and then export it to a pdf

But

what must the sticker have on it?
