Stickykeys

Hi there, I tried to help someone today with a laptop. It's a old one, but running xp and not really too bad. But a strange thins happens. On the desktop on left there's a few icons, but when I click on the bottom ones (on the desktop), all the above are selected and opened. I also can't right-click on the desktop to adjust appearance or whatever. Also I opened wordpad, and typed. When I click on a word, the same happens. So I thought maybe it is stickykeys, but I've switched everything off that I could think of, but its still the same. What can it be?

One of the keys are sticky and are making the keyboard think its being pressed.

Check the lappy for pron folders, that would explain the stickyness then.

Sometimes it will help to tap the Shift, ALT and CTRL keys repeatedly.

I've had this issue as well, and found that by tapping those keys it make the problem go away.
