I guess ANC needs to make some "adjustments" due to its losses in Gauteng.

From what I'm hearing, I think the ANC are scrambling to try make things not look so bad, they've lost a few relatively large wards in Durban apparently.

News24 are like 6 hours behind. However, on the IEC's site, they are still blank as well.

Stats area absolute rubbish though, totals not adding, wards declaring as for party with less than 1% of vote and other parties missing.

Looks like the ANC has pulled above the majority threshold in Ethekwini now . Was really hoping they would stay below 50% mark to keep them in check at least. Results so far with 74% counted:

ANC - 53.56%
DA - 30.34%
IND - 3.64%
IFP - 3.6%
EFF - 3.41%

Durban was not a battle ground for that... BUT this has been a severe beating for the ANC, they have lost 8% support, and the DA have had a fantastic election in the city. I reckon the next local government elections could be interesting as all hell in Durban. We may become the next battleground for the ANC losing its majority...

I think that may be a race between us and bloem.. but yeah. Last major metro and last province as well I reckon. Unless the xhosa purge the zulu leadership of the anc.
