If you are posting about I bust please make yourself clear. If you had read these forums about other instances of formites experience in cancelling Ibust you would have taken the appropiate action.I am assuming that you are on a month to month contract otherwise read the fine print of your contract.

@placebo, He's read the forums and has the same problem trying to cancel as many others.

@hellhound604, I assume from your "everytime I get the response it is canceled" post that they acknowledged the cancellation, if so go to your bank and have it reversed or blocked.
I know this works as I did it and I put what is called a "load" (at SB) on the debit order at a cost of +_R25 which blocks any attempt they make for 6 months, after that if you are still worried have it renewed for another 6 months.

Just remember you are dealing with idiots at that company who have still not figured out how to run a business.

@Oogie, do yourself a favor and click on the "hellopeter" link in my sig then you will get an idea what sort of company we are dealing with here.

yes, fortunately they don't have my bank details ..... so I do have to do an EFT every month .....

Since they acknowledged that you canceled and they don't have access to your bank account then I do not see a problem..........just make sure you don't use the ibust modem to connect and stop paying them.

It might be a good idea to get them to acknowledge the cancellation in writing so that there is no come back from their side.

you're lucky you were permitted to do an EFT. iBurst refused to extend me that courtesy and INSISTED on having theft powers on my bank account.

That was also the case with me... so I opted for Fusion Reactor, which in turn moved to Online Direct... It took online 2 months to sort out my account - removal of any and all my banking details from their system or I lay charges of theft against their company. At least they did agree to it. Now I pay them whenever I receive an invoice. What is dissappointing is Online direct doesn't know how to sort out their bulk email to send invoices... so they keep sending it to me manually.

Phone then and threaten them with LEGAL action and tell them your LAWYER is keen to ready for action!

Every business hates lawyers, unless the lawyer in question is on THEIR side.

It's their standard policy... ensure client doesn't cancel! else debit him 6 months later and 12 months later and so forth!
