Hi all,

A good friend of mine had his car stolen last week - he has certain dodgy feelings for this car. haha! :D

Basically long story short, he sent the car in for repairs and it was at the place (Alfa Agents) or something and the car was stolen from there.

Yes we can rattle on about inside job etc, but basically, the car has been stolen.

Here are 2 pictures:

I'm going to assume that the license plate will probably have been changed, but the tan leather seats
should be a dead give-away.

The car was stolen in the Western Cape, however, by now, it could be anywhere, If you guys see anything and you think you might be able to help;

Please either PM me with as much information as you can and I'll pass it onto Mike, or please contact him via [email protected] or, PM me anyways and I'll toss you his contact details.

Surely it isn't that easy to steal an Alfa? Most modern cars have coded keys, ECU and what not. Did they steal the keys out of the dealership and then the car?

hey sorry about your friend's car being stolen man, let's hope it gets recovered. Didn't it have some tracking devise or something? I suppose buying a modern car with a coded key is a great idea?

Hardly modern, which is why I asked, even a Opel Corsa Lite (1993 car) uses a coded key that only works with a specific ECU & transponder. It's highly likely that an Alfa being much newer would have something similar, which is why I ask, may be foul play from whomever had the car.

The car was stolen from the Alfa Agents?....

Where the hell are the agents and where did they park the car for the evening?

Heavy dude - I'd reckon inside job.

Alfaholic's gonna have a fit :erm:

Good luck to your mate though.

Can anyone please validate Alfacholic's whereabouts for the past few days!

1 post wonders will be ignored!

:p :D

More info on the car:

The only identifiable things that I would say are the unique rims as per pic.
The leather seats, but then again they could cover with seat covers
The colour and number plates they could change.
There is a small deepish dent under the driver’s side, side mirror (About the size of a pen top (cap)
There are some smaller much less insignificant marks that I would recognize..
And the car won’t have a spare as I have it…

So basically, we need to PM you if we see an Alfa 147?

HOT DAMN! And here I am driving around happily thinking that COZ its an Alfa, NO ONE would wana steal or hi jack it! 1st of all, sorry for the incident. Secondly...Alfa Agents...I have LOADS of Alfa peeps in the Cape I'll mail them the pics....is the place called Alfa Agents? heard of them now only. It MUST be an inside job! No doubt! The owner of Alfa Agents must be held responsible that's it...

LOL, i know its serious but at least he got rid of the car now without having to go through the labour pains of trying to sell it!!! So he can buy a GT/Brera/Giulietta now!

I'll spread the word...

Oh, I've been in JHB for the past couple of days lol!
