Hi guys
My wife had her phone stolen from her bag while we were shopping at Clearwater Mall this afternoon. I tried calling the number but it had already been turned off. I then had the sim locked immediately until I could confirm that the samsung tracking account was functional and Nashua have now re-enabled the sim for me. I have previously configured remote control etc and registered on the samsung dive website. At this stage I am busy tracking the phone although it is still off so can't get a GPS lock. My questions are:
1) Do I report the phone stolen to SAPS and get a case number before I get a fix on the phone? The phone is not insured so I don't need a case number for insurance.
2) If/when I manage to track the phone will SAPS be interested in going to the location to recover the phone i.e. has anyone had this experience before and how helpful were SAPS?
Thanks in advance for any advice
