Stop purchasing Huawei wearable products

Firstly, stuff does break after time sure but on a wearable the connection onto the watch should not. Secondly they not even going to repair it even though OP is willing to accept liability.

Do yourself a favor and bin that Huawei if they not willing to fix it. Get a Garmin rather or a normal Fossil or something.

No that's to easy. Give the company what it deserve. Do not buy from them.
Put on FAF's bikini and give'em hell .

It is still under warranty.

Why should they not give the time of day.

Length of time is irrelevant.

****

Apple have a similar issue now with screens cracking on their Watch Series 3. They are covering it OUTSIDE of warranty as all decent companies do.

Just because it’s a wearable doesn’t give it the right to fall apart. Especially if there is no other visible damage to indicate it was neglected.

If a person looks after their stuff it should reasonably last a great many years.
Clearly the OP somehow broke the device and is not willing to admit fault. It's one thing a product falling apart because of shoddy design or workmanship, it's a whole different thing when a consumer spins a yarn to try and get around clearly defined terms of warranty. And then to encourage others to stay away from a product or manufacturer because of their negligence.

Just stupidity.

#3rds
There are people who agree with you. Do not believe this shyte that wearables cannot last.
Axxess/Mtn LTE deal are also forcing Huawei routers down my throat. ZTE MF286 is the only other choice. Any feedback re the ZTE.

Wait, What what do their routers have to do with, with watches ?. Hands down, it is probably the best router brand on the market period.

How do you get to this so “clearly”?

Have you seen the device?

Why can’t it just be a lemon or shoddy workmanship?

Nothing has seemed at all unreasonable from OP expecting a quality product and quality support for it.

We all know the defined terms of warranty more often than not protect the manufacturer and not the consumer.

Shoddy workmanship on his specific device? There is absolutely nothing to suggest an obvious manufacturing issue after the user has used it for going on 2 years. Clearly there isn't a class action with a plethora of riled up consumers that would suggest a problem during the manufacturing/production/machining process.
One cannot jump to boycotting a brand because of one disgruntled and negligent consumer, and clearly very entitled to boot.

Stop for a second and ask yourself - what is more likely - this guy breaking his device or a production/manufacturing line issue. Let logic dictate and not emotion.

There is nothing entitled about OP.

Length of time also isn’t a measure of anything.

Have you ever owned a car that was a lemon? Like all those Ecosports catching fire many years after their warranty expired already.

You don’t need a class action lawsuit either. Singular units can be badly manufactured. Production line could have been stopped and restarted on that day making that one unit a bad one etc.

Besides the fact it’s UNDER WARRANTY and if there aren’t signs of misuse by the OP it should be covered as a manufacturer fault.

That is debatable but it seems you have inside info.
Do not buy any Huawei product. Full stop. It is not the only company in the market.

Yes open a new thread and we can debate that.

Lol, no - I will not stop!  ... This oke *facepalm*

One Disgruntled - no, many out there.
Negligent? You have proof of that.
There is already a boycott going. Google your stupidity.

Not sure if already mentioned but this is very common with hw2. You will see the same issues across Amazon reviews and other review sites. Huawei have not covered it thus far even though it appears to be a weak point in the manufacturing process judging by the prevalence of identical complaints.

Lol show me a better 4G router available locally, that absolutely beats the socks off huawei, and I will tip my hat :). Regular updates, and reliability and up time can't even remotely be matched.

Well there we go....

So not the consumer at fault after all.

Here is the situation, I own a Huawei Watch 2, purchased in January 2018 and still under warranty. About 3 weeks ago i brought my watch in for repairs as the watch band kept jumping out of the watch. It was found after inspection that there was a slight crack on the housing of the watch which allowed the strap to come free.

Now here is the problem, the store says that physical damage is not covered under warranty, i am happy to accept. However, this to me looks like a factory fault on the watch as this watch was not dropped or damaged in any way by myself. The watch has no scuff marks or scratches to even suggest that i may have caused this crack to form on the housing of the watch. I was quoted by the store for a new watch as Huawei does not carry out any repairs to watches. The price is more than i paid for it over 16 months ago.

1. The watch housing cracked not due to any fault of mine, Huawei claims physical damage and will not cover it under warranty.
2. Since Huawei wont cover it under warranty, i would like to repair the watch at my expense, unfortunately Huawei does not fix or repair watches.

This means i am forced to purchase a new watch which i really cannot afford at this present time on an inferior product.

Current owner of a Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Huawei Watch 2. Why i mention this, is for Huawei South Africa to know that they will loosing a valuable client, knowing Huawei's troubled future to come.
Sorry for your bad experience. I had similar bad service from Kreepy Krappy Krawly, with their poorly designed Dominator that they refused to repair under warranty.

I agree with you - never buy their products again and make sure that everyone you know knows about their poor after-sales service.

And I must believe you. Show us your cv.

Of course a childish response is in the order of the day, I asked you show me a better 4G router available locally....I want to go buy it.
I have used and purchased more huawei devices for my self and family/friends, then the packet of expired condoms in your wallet has seen the day of light.......

My o my. Sorry to get your blood pressure up.
Any router except a Huawei be just fine.
Sorry at my age we use the expired condoms as balloons for the family that's using any Huawei.
Now I will put my old hat on again.

You can't tell me what to do so fokof.
