HI All

I'm confused.
This sounds wierd, but I'm finding it impossible to change settings on my router and AP under Windows 7.

Both the Netgear router and the Senao AP (both over 5 years old) use IP based configuration. Both don't display correctly under Windows 7. Both crash when new settings are sent to them under Windows 7. This tested with a desktop and a laptop both using Windows 7 32 bit RC (build 7100) using Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

If I boot the laptop into Vista(spit) I can view and configure both correctly under all browsers.

It's the only thing I use Vista for, so anytime I want to change anything I need to reboot the laptop. Also, in the near future I'd like to buy 7 and kill Vista off that machine.

All machines get auto updates of OS's and browsers, and all are current.

Please help
Thanks
Rob

Hi

I dont know if this would help. Have you updated your router's firmware and network card software for Win 7.

I had a problem where in Win XP I would connect fine to internet, but in Win 7 it would'nt even connect.

Since I have updated the software, I can connect with out any problems. I have a dual boot system.

Regards
Mark

Haven't updated them- no updates available.

I can access the internet no problem- have been using Win 7 since January on these 2 machines. It's just the IP based config of these devices that I can't access. Seeing as the problem is common to both devices and 3 different browsers but only under Windows 7 it seems to me that that is where the problem lies, but I can't understand how the OS can affect this.

Nope, doesn't help. Thought you were onto something there.

It works fine in Vista, which is odd, because not much works fine in Vista....
