My brother has a SE T610.
He had incorrect GPRS settings at one point. When he tried to connect, the connection would fail.

Now you are thinking, well duh dumbass.

Each time he connected, and it failed (due to incorrect settings) he was charged R4. He did it 3 times and lost R12 off his account.
He's on a family top up.
This makes no sense.

BTW he wants his R12 back Vodacom.

Sounds strange.

He would have been billed at R2/Mb, so if each connection attempt cost R4, it implies he used 2M-bytes of data trying to connect. Obviously this is not possible, so something is screwy.

Did he log a call on 155?

Also check his duration on his itemised bill, if it was like less than a minute and he was charged that amount , then there is huge problems, but if it was for a couple of minutes , then maybe he has a worm or virus?

When we get a bill, I'll check.

Vodacom3G, to be honest with you, I don't phone 155 or the Helpdesk.
Life is to short to sit on hold for 30 mins. They were always very good, you are now almost as bad as the MTN Help Desk.

Why don't you use the call back feature then (press # when prompted) and they'll call you back, and it's usually within 2-3 minutes. Just a thought...;)
