Strange IP address i get sometimes using telkom account

Are you getting international or are you getting Google?

Remember that Google is now running servers in South Africa.

The latency is far too low to be anything international.

IP lookup returns dsl-146-16-01.telkomadsl.co.za, so it's definitely local. It might be a new block of IP addresses (I haven't seen that particular range before, but its close to other blocks). Maybe just authentication of your cap not working?

dont think i was downloading torrents during the tracerts but can do it again tonight and check

might be authentication problem cause i get kicked after a while, but still can get 100 megs in that time

seems the telkom usage detector counts it as blended yet says local in detailed report

I've seen things like this in a traceroute before, mine in fact.

When you are\were downloading torrents, all those connections that was seeding them still remain open, to get rid of them you must disconnect from the net and reconnect. ( they remain open even if you quit your downloading app )

Nothing to be worried about, I used to see connections coming from a hotel server in Saudi Arabia among the connections
