Got a strange problem. All sites load perfectly, except when I search Google/Yahoo etc., the results page is just a big blank.

Googling the problem on a non-affected computer does not reveal much.

Anyone had this problem, anyone got a fix? :)

You have a spyware trojan of some sort. Friend of mine emailed with the same symptoms on his machine.

Ad-Aware or hijack-this scan should pick something up.

Other antivirus/spyware/adware/malware progs don't report anything. Could be the after effect of a nasty virus though.

Hmmm.

I would go with the malware thing myself...

Is there a way to check where your browser is going when trying to access google.co.za? Because it might be diverted to another server which is not accessible.

Google.co.za loads fine, it's just the search results that don't show. :D

Going to try some malware scans.

My guess would also be an after-effect of a virus. Boot from a Linux disc (or BartPE if you have it) and see whether it works properly. If it does, I'm sticking to my guess :p

Run a scan with with Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware - maybe it'll turn something up

I been using the free version for months. It was the only thing that could pick up & remove my "Fake Alert" malware

Great program that, used it to help remove Internet Antivirus.

Took a while though as the virus wouldn't let me run .exe files. :D
