Okay guys i know this should be in one of the other threads, but im stumped.

Everything was working okay with my Android media player, then all of a sudden i lost connection. Everything else connects, but the media player won't connect from either ethernet or wifi.

Strange thing is, that my pc connects fine off the router, but the media player no longer wants to. If i use my phone as a hotspot, then the media player connects fine.

Ive rebooted, unplugged, factory reset, switched ethernet cables, basically everything, but it won't connect. Only way is via my phone as a hotspot.

Any ideas?

Streaming media only or local also? What media player?

Its an HPH NT-V6

Basically, cant get it to connect anymore. Router is plugged into it, and worked fine, but now wont establish any sort of connection.

However, if i use my phone as a hotspot, no problem, establishes a connection. My pc however is connecting to the router just fine, so this has me a bit stumped. Ive even gone as far as resetting it, but to no avail.

Slightly off topic but the same symptoms. I have a little Samsung A3 backup phone (for emergencies) - suddenly a while ago it stops connecting to the Wifi at home. It will connect to hotspot fine from another phone, but router wifi is a no go. It used to work, but now just stops. I checked the IP address for it, and it doesn't seem to get an IP address from the router DHCP (even if I assign one to the phone MAC address). So it connects to Wifi but there is no connectivity...

Had that with the GFs J5 , restart Netgear router all was ok after that .

I didnt restart, but got mine working. I basically had to factory reset, as my media player couldnt get an IP address or something either. Such a pain to have to re setup everything.
