Strange RICA SMS

I just got an SMS from +27840001207 with the following text:

Hi, your RICA info could not be validated. Please go to your nearest Cell C store with your RICA docs in the next 5 days to avoid having your line cut. Cell C

I got this SMS on my Black Speed stick that's on its last month's use, so I wonder if this is not just a ploy to get a customer into the shop to get them to go with a new contract or something. If its for real, if so what the hell did they do with my RICA info when I bought the card?

What I do find strange is that I bought 2 at the same time at the same shop and only got the SMS on one of them. I was just wondering if I should get a new SIM from Cell C next month or go with the 8.ta offer. With crap like this it really does make it easier to look somewhere else.

Well I guess trusting Cell C to handle the matter was quite a bad idea.

I was in communication via email but still they decided to cut my line. So guess who is not renewing his Cell C SIM cards come January, and yes I was planning to renew with a contract to get my Motorola RAZR.

PS: I am referring to the SP not the person on the forum. To Cell_C thanx for your attempt to help with my problem.
