I hope I am posting this in the right section...I am having a problem with forum members trying to access my forum.
Since the 23rd or 24th of Jan, several memebrs have contacted me saying that they get a network error when trying to access the website, and a few other websites. But it was only certain members, I then found out that most of them were @lantic clients and a few were from other ISPs...all presumably working though IS.
I contacted @lantic, explained the problem and asked them to access any of the sites, they could not, I asked them to try via a proxy like pagewash.com, they could get in without any problems.
I explained to them that if the client tried to access the forum via the @lantic account, they could not, but if they then tried using their Vodacom 3G or Telkom accounts they were able to get in. They told me it was a server problem, I again tried to explain that anyone on a Telkom account could access it...they do not seem to understand that. I then asked them to run a tracert...but they could not.
I would truely appreciate it if someone on a @lantic AND someone on an IS account could run a tracert and mail or post the results to me (I do not have an IS account). The website is at www.cliviaforum.co.za
Or if anyone has some advice for me, it would be appreciated too.
