Stranger Things - Netflix Original series

Started watching it and now on episode 5. I am loving it. I think the character's still fit even though they are older obviously. Also loved it when they started with "I Think We Are Alone Now" in the sound track. I really was worried about 11 and how much older she is going to be, but I think she is still great as 11. Cant wait to watch more tonight.

Imagine if TV series were still made like they used to be, within a year max between seasons ;-). Stranger Things would've finished in 2021.

It feels like they didn't get that song the level they wanted in the dance sequence in Umbrella Academy so they trying again :-)

Was not expecting that. I suppose guys on here hates it and see it as woke. It was two scenes...7 and then episode 8 with a brief talk on the tower. I was not expecting it.

The scene in 7 was a bit long and corny....but I do think it was clever that Vagna used it against him and as a weakness and him being afraid. He overcame it. Considering the decade and the stigma etc...and how gay people kept it secret and afraid of people finding....I think it was a good idea.

I didn't have an issue with it, I had an issue with the timing. The world is ending and here's this oke gathering everyone around to come out. Everyone else also forgets the schitstorm they're in the middle of, to go give him hugs.

It should have been done much sooner in the season, or even last season - they could have created a mini-arc around it and how Vecna was using it as a weakness to control him...

Honestly... bugged me as well. No issue with the concept. Timing was disruptive.

Alongside the reallllly slow strolling around at the end and stopping to appreciate the scenery....

"This is urgent!! But let's stop and take a gander or have a pointless chat at random moments!"

nah I wouldn't say "woke", I think Stranger Things learned from the mistakes of other woke franchises that just died because of it and steered clear of that for the most part, but then it's like they still shoehorned just that one nod in there

it felt out of place and didn't serve any real purpose imo, "long and corny" sounds about right, didn't really consider the Vecna angle you mention

there are people out there crying "woke" of course, I disagree

in any event it doesn't detract from the series' success overall, was just a "huh?!?" moment imo
 
Really think if this actually moved along like series did in the past, it would've been even better.
I mean things got tricky when you've got to try squeeze things in so much in 8 episodes instead of I don't know 13 or 24 like we used to get.
 
About to watch the last episode now. Just watched episode 7 of season 5. I can see why it got bad ratings. I thought Will was about to reveal some real secrets about Henry near the end. Instead it was just a Netflix inserted woke scene.
