streaming from desktop PC to TV

anyone know what the best way to stream all the movies from my desktop pc harddrive to my tv, preferably wireless...

I've seen Plex on a friends tv before which seems great, but I think you need to pay for it each month? Do they make little tv boxes that can do this all for you?

any ideas?

You don't need to pay for Plex. It's free, unless you want a Plex pass that offers some other functionality.
Just install it on your pc and use your pc as the server.

If you have a decent smart tv with a plex application then you will find the server on the network.

I use the free version for years now, Smart TV has the app and on the Dumb Tv I use it with a PS3
