Can anyone please guide me here? I have 25mbps symmetrical uncapped fibre from METROFIBRE with a Mygica ATV 1960 octa core 64bit media box. I am unable to stream as everthing is buffering. What settings can i check. The media box is connected via a lan cable to ethernet 1 on the router and with no other devices connected, it still buffers. I have done a speed test while its buffering and the speed is around 24mbps on download and upload.

Will try and update. App streaming. Kodi for now. Have not install any other other app yet.

What are you streaming? How is your Youtube stream?

Im asking specifically because it could be the streaming provider that cannot handle the load (if youre using kodi it makes me think its one of those.)

You can get 1 month free on Netflix. Sign up for that then you can test that stream. Just remember to cancel it in the first month. IIRC you can then still use it untill the first month runs out. Only then will it be stopped.

Kodi is very unreliable as a benchmark for your connection. It's mostly just free illegal streams, so huge server load and poor quality servers much of the time.

How do services like Youtube, Netflix and Showmax perform?

In that case it’s as the guys above said, it’s most likely the free sites that are overloaded and can’t handle the capacity.
Thanks guys. Installed Amazon today and its fine. Kodi is still buffering. Only thing is Kodi has some nice stuff. Newer movies. What to do....

Installed Amazon Prime and its fine. As the guys have said below, not the hardware or connection. Kodi is the issue. Thanks.

I have a Plex server at home - load all my content on there and enjoy it like that. No issues with Kodi or other items as Plex does it for me on my own network
