Yesterday, strikers apparently threatened and intimidated teachers around the city.
Alexandra High School principal Cilliers Heymans was forced to cancel examinations that were in progress, due to Sadtu members who forced their way on to school premises and told him they would kill him if he remained at the school.
The Witness received reports that union members protested outside the school and assaulted a number of teachers and the principal at about 10 am.

“Their rowdy, crass and threatening behaviour included shouting, banging on doors and insulting educators and pupils,” said the educator. The school was forced to immediately end the exams that were in progress.
The scene was described to SAPS in attendance as “total chaos”.

Now my son's school is closed until Monday. Many other schools are closed in PMB because of this intimidation.
