Vodacom is ripping us off just as badly as Telkom ... why so much more anger towards Telkom?

In Vodacom's case we've got a choice. Crappy, but still a choice. When the SNO arrives on fixed lines, we will have another (crappy) choice and I think many consumers will move to the SNO not for pricing reasons, but out of anger towards Telkom for its cavalier attitude towards customers.

A price-fixing cartel in another government-protected market does NOT constitute choice at all - only the appearance of choice. That is even worse if you ask me. "Pick the devil on the left, the devil on the right, or the devil in the middle." There is no real competition in this market.
