Personally i used CBT Nuggets, studied at home then done icnd1 then icnd2, had no problems.
You don't need to go to a college to get your ccna, I find them rather useless and a waste of time.
there is a lot of software that you can use to emulate the routers etc online, just got to know where to look. But your ICND1 is mainly practical and rather easy so start there.
Once you finish ICND2 you will be CCNA.
I'mcurrently studying for ccna, just get hold of the CBT nuggets, makes studying so much easier. The GNS/packet tracer for your emulation purposes and your're good to go as far as preparing is concerned.
They have split the CCNA into two courses to make it easier. To do the CCNA exam all at once is tricky if you are struggling I wouldnt suggest it. Rather look at icnd 1 first.
I am sure a quick google search for ICND 1 CBT Nugget will send some results your way.
I'd highly recommend doing the ICND1 them ICND2. As everyone has already said, CBT Nuggets. I used the Books from Cisco Press, very well written and the added Boson Exam Engine is a bonus.
