Hi

I’m in desperate need of help. I did some research on devices that can limit data usage and came across the Mikrotik RBWAP2nd which I purchased. I need the device to limit 14 students to 10GB per person as I have a capped LTE account. I have done plenty of research, trolling forums and watching YouTube videos and have come to an absolute dead end with trying to set it up. If there’s anyone who can assist I would really appreciate it. Willing to pay to get it done.

Thanks

It might be easier to download pfsense https://www.pfsense.org/download/ and install it on a dedicated pc. Then setup the rules for each user/student.

As far as I have it,the type of config needed to get this working purely on the Mikrotik isn't persistent after restarts (at least the recording of traffic volume) and is limited per device rather than user

You'd be better served with some Unifi units and using the voucher generation system to generate credentials they can use on the captive wifi portal

Captive portal on unifi will work perfect for this, I agree.
Use it for something similar at the guesthouse.
