Subaru WRX station wagon 1998

We bought this car from a youngster, got the papers and then saw that the car is still in the previous owner's name. The lady has since past and the license is in arrears.
The only other problem with the car, starter motor is shot.
1. We want to get a replacement starter
2. We want to sell it as spares.
The motor was recently done over with a major service.
Can someone help or pls advice us?

When last was the headgasket replaced? pretty much first thing you check on a WRX.

Why replace the starter if you're going to sell it for spares?

Defo not a WRX & actually the 1998 part seems a tad off imo.

The car had a major service. Head was skimmed, everything was checked.

oof in for some headaches sorting out the paper work.

If literally nothing besides a starter is wrong with it why would you want to sell spares off it? I get the value you get out will be higher but i can't imagine these are in massive demand, seems like a headache.

I assume you are trusting that they had the work stated done and had it done somewhere professionallyweird that it would need a starter after a major overhaul
