A few times now I've been watching documentaries on one of the 250-264 channels (think it was Nat Geo) where they have interviews in a foreign language but there are no subtitles provided. Was one about life behind the berlin wall the other day where the majority of the content was interviews with old Germans but no subtitles. Htf are people suppose to understand the 70% of documentary that's in Deutsch???

Did you try the subtitle button on the remote?

It's apparently a known problem. I asked here the same question about two months back, and was told that the issue had been raised on the DStv forums, and DStv's comment had been to ask people to submit lists of the doccies they watch that have no subtitles. So all this time later they still haven't sorted it out. It's bloody irritating, I know.

Just went to go have a look at the dstv forums and found a few threads about the problem. Someone complained about the exact same show I watched the other day but he watch it in July of 2010! So it does not look like anything has been done about the problem.

Of course nothing has been done...

Because its the channel suppliers problem, not DSTv's.... remember that, because thats what you will be told.

There have been multiple complaints over years about this and other issues with this channel. Nat geo signal comes from Romania.
